ChainMenu site information

Privacy Policy

Clear terms for using this independent nutrition reference.

Information ChainMenu does not collect directly

ChainMenu is a public nutrition reference site. It does not require an account, profile, subscription, checkout, or nutrition diary, and it does not ask visitors to submit names, postal addresses, telephone numbers, payment details, health records, or other personally identifying information through the website. The meal calculator runs with static data in the visitor's browser and does not send selected ingredients to ChainMenu. If a visitor voluntarily sends an email, the sender's address and the contents of that message are received only because the visitor chose to provide them.

Google Analytics

ChainMenu uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate site use, such as pages viewed, approximate traffic sources, device and browser information, and general interaction patterns. Google Analytics may place or read cookies and may process identifiers such as an IP address, browser information, or device information according to Google's own policies. ChainMenu uses this information to evaluate whether pages work and which nutrition topics are useful; it does not use Analytics to create a ChainMenu account or request a visitor's real name.

Google explains how information from sites using its services is handled in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services. Visitors can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, subject to Google's availability and instructions, or control cookies through browser or device settings.

Google AdSense, cookies, and personalized advertising

ChainMenu uses Google AdSense to support the site with advertising. Google and other third-party advertisers may use cookies, web beacons, or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Those technologies can use information about visits to ChainMenu and other websites to select personalized advertising. Depending on location, consent choices, settings, and applicable law, ads may instead be non-personalized or limited. Third-party advertisers control their own cookies and data practices; ChainMenu does not receive their underlying personally identifying profiles.

Visitors can review or change Google advertising personalization in Google Ads Settings. Browser controls can block or delete cookies, although doing so may affect features on ChainMenu or other sites. Additional industry opt-out tools may be available in a visitor's country, and an opt-out choice may need to be repeated after cookies are cleared or when a different device or browser is used.

Children's privacy

ChainMenu is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The site is a general-audience nutrition lookup resource, not a children's service. If a parent or guardian believes a child under 13 has sent personal information to ChainMenu, they may contact the site so the message can be reviewed and, where appropriate, deleted in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act and other applicable requirements.

Changes, contact, and effective date

This policy may change when the site's analytics, advertising, legal obligations, or operating practices change. The current version will remain published at this URL with its effective date. Privacy questions or requests can be sent to [email protected]. Email delivery and response time are not guaranteed.

Effective date: August 18, 2026.
